Prof Dr. Srinivasa Babu, hailing from the vibrant state of Andhra Pradesh, has paved an illustrious path in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences, leaving an indelible mark as a distinguished, ratified professor & principal from affiliating university – JNTUK and accomplished researcher. Graduating in 1994 and completing post-graduation in 1997, he furthered his academic journey with a Doctorate of Philosophy in 2006, from the esteemed JNTU, Hyderabad, India.
With an impressive career spanning over 26 years, Dr. P. S Babu has excelled in Teaching, Research, and Administration within the realm of Pharmaceutical Sciences. His commitment to ethical standards, both professionally and personally, has been a guiding principle throughout his journey.
At the helm of Vignan Pharmacy College, Vadlamudi, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, Dr. P. S Babu has demonstrated exceptional leadership, steering the institution to national recognition. The college stands accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an A++ grade. Additionally, it holds 2(f) and 12(B) status from the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is affiliated with JNT University, Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, India.
Dr. P. S Babu's prolific research output includes over 196 Research/Review papers published in well-indexed journals with high impact factors. His contributions have earned him research grants totaling nearly 26 Lakhs from esteemed agencies such as AICTE, DST, and UBA. Notably, his scholastic work has resulted in the filing of two patents, showcasing his innovative contributions to the field. As a mentor, Dr. P. S Babu has guided 09 Ph.D. scholars to completion, while five more are currently pursuing their research under his able guidance. His influence extends to the editorial and reviewer boards of numerous prestigious journals, and he actively contributes as a resource person and assessor at national and international conferences. Several pharmaceutical organizations seek his expertise, highlighting his impact on the industry.
Beyond academia, Dr. P. S Babu has made significant contributions to society through extension and outreach activities, earning him accolades from government and private agencies. Notably, he serves as the Vice President of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) Andhra Pradesh state branch and holds the position of General Secretary for the IPGA-AP state chapter.
